Music Department News

Darwin Walters, a sophomore at Mt. Vernon Township High School was recently selected to partici-pate in the Illinois Music Educators Association (IMEA) All-State Or-chestra. IMEA holds its annual conference will be held on January 31st– February 2nd. Darwin is the son of Dr. David and Mrs. Stephanie Walters. Darwin partici-pates in many extra-curricular activities. Be-sides playing viola in the orchestra he also plays the tuba in the Symphonic Band. Way to go Darwin!
