The Rams E-Sports team (some players pictured above in a lighter moment) has advanced to the 2nd round of Central Region Special Olympics Unified E-Sports league play. Pretty good for a program that is only in its second year.
Unified E-Sports is a mix of both Special Olympics athletes and unified partners. E-Sports (Electronic Sports) is the fastest growing sport in high schools across the nation. E-Sports Coach Daniel Morrison said the Central Region consists of 24 teams, in state and as far away as Colorado and New Mexico. "We had a rough start to the year and only managed a 3-5 record for the regular season. But we made the playoffs." Round two is Thursday, December 7th, against the Sandia Matadors from Albuquerque.
Let's go Rams!
