Congratulations, FFA Rams!
On Friday, April 19 a group from MVTHS FFA competed at the State Non Reasons Livestock Judging Contest held at the University of Illinois Livestock Facility in Champaign.
Ava Tolley placed first, Maelee Allen placed third and Ava Tate placed fifth.
With the best 3 scores of the five person team counting, Mt. Vernon was named the Champion team.
They will each be recognized on stage at the Illinois State FFA Convention in June.
Cattle, Swine, Sheep and goats were evaluated for replacements or to be be sold at market.
545 contestants from 118 schools across the State competed in this event.
The four girls were also in the Top 20 in the all-around competition, where they competed agains over 900 other students.
