Saturday night at Cedarhurst Center for the Arts was a big evening for a lot of people. Most of all, for the nights honorees -- MVTHS Alums Norma Fairchild (Class of 1951) and Linda Sanders (Class of 1980). The Mt. Vernon Township High School Foundation inducted the two into their Distinguished Alumnus.
The gathered crowd was entertained by performances from the MVTHS Choir, Band and Symphony, and enjoyed a dinner that included desserts from the MVTHS Culinary program.
Longtime Foundation member and fundraiser for the high school, Mrs. Fairchild was also honored with a bench dedicated in her name. The bench will become part of the outdoor seating areas on campus.
