Given all the recent changes in COVID protocols lately, the athletic trainers would like to remind everyone of the return to play progression required of all student athletes that test positive for COVID. The return to play progression has not changed at all. Vaccination status and previous diagnosis of COVID do not alter a student athlete's requirements in regards to athletics. We still require each athlete to be seen by an MD/DO, NP, or PA for a post-COVID clearance to begin this progression with the athletic trainers. If you would like a form to take with you as a doctor's note, they are available in the athletic training room. This is all done with the athletes best interest in mind and is based on the most up-to-date recommendations in our field.
